The Sacramento Bee, August 25th, 1956
The N.R. Leonards of 2381 20th Avneue
announced they will reopen the Panama Pottery
Manufacturing Company plan, 24th Street Road
and 20th Avenue, about September 17th.
The Leonards operated the plant for nine years
until about two years ago when they leased it to
another party who has since gone through
bankruptcy proceedings.
Leonard said it is the firm's intention to get into
production as quickly as possible and produce
the quality pottery goods which were well
received under their former ownership.
He said the company will employ about 15
persons. It is one of six such pottery plants on
the Pacific Coast.
The Leonards retired two years ago but will
return to full management of the plant.
