Cara Ramsey
Cara Ramsey is a photographer who is guided by instinct and the sheer
passion of seeing something simple or complex and capturing it in a
moment.......a moment never to be again.

She was born in Kansas City Missouri, but grew up in the foothills of the
Blue Ridge Mountains of Northern Georgia.  She has worked in the
elementary school system as well as the medical field.  Recently relocating to
Northern California she is just beginning to see the diversity this state has
to offer to any artist.
Cara does very little editing to her work, preferring mainly straight out of the camera shots.  She
shoots portraits and still life but finds herself drawn to old, forgotten and abandoned places.
Macro shots are her passion.  She loves discovering entire new worlds in a simple drop of water or
a single rose pedal.

Influenced by the works of Ansel Adams and Holt Webb, black and white photography was her
first love and will always remain close to her heart.  “Shooting black and white, you have to rely
solely on the strength of the photograph, simplicity can speak volumes.”
